The 2010 Lake Eland Super Classic was a fantastic weekend event, with over 800 entries into the events. The trail run / walk was well attended, despite the grey weather, with good reports back from the participants about the route. The scholars had fun at the Inter-schools MTB challenge, with Howick High taking the Seniors floating trophy, and Creston College taking the Junior floating trophy.

The newly cut tracks made for an interesting challenge for all mountain bike riders.  They rose to the challenge and were blown away by the fast pace exciting single track which made up more than 80% of the course. This was an all round fun weekend for the whole family. Until next year, see you on the track. All photographs of the weekend are available on www.funfactorypro.co.za

Again it was a excellent weekend.
Rain, wind and heat, nothing could stop us being there.
Top score for the new MTB route.
AGAIN did the noisy and uncontrollable youngsters managed to irritate a great number of peaceful weekend visitors (campers).
What about two camps for tenting, one for the noisy and the other for the nature lovers.
Thanks again, see you all next year.

Well, have done this one a few times before, and skipped last year due to business travel, but what an improvement. Somehow we must get word to those responsible that they did a truly phenomenal job, such good quality single-track doesn't happen by accident.
Except for possibly Karkloof and it's forest single track, this was the most incredible MTB event in 2010, period.
Thank you so much, dont change anything, we will all be back, with more friends next year.
And we will ride it during the year too, so keep the single track coming ....

Awesome ride, fantastic single track.
Batched riding would be better to ease the congestion for the first 10km.
Will definately be back.
